“How many guitarist does it take to change a light bulb? 11…1 to do it and 10 to stand around saying how much better they could have done it.”

You know, it ‘s easy to judge people who do things. Anthony, Danny, and I, were searching for some new worship songs to sing in church. Somehow we digressed into a history of Christian contemporary music (CCM) via the You Tube archives. The vague memories of parents, older siblings, and youth pastors led us to the classics: Amy Grant, Carman, and of course Stryper. Our jaws literally dropped. We don’t want to be negative, but let’s just say that the music videos don’t stand the test of time. They feel so awkward and silly.
As musicians watching other musicians change a light bulb, two thoughts occurred to us: at least they put something out there, and I bet some folks found life through their music.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise: God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong…Therefore, as it is written let him who boasts boast in the Lord”

God loves to turn awkward and silly into beautiful and eternal.
That is really good news for most of us.
