Day 4 Generosity Challenge
Emotional commentary

My neighbor has a friend who visits every so often. They call him Big Eric. I like Big Eric.
While riding bikes with my son, we stopped and talked. He told us about the “Shrink Wrap” convention that brought him to Orlando. Yeah, pretty cool huh, a convention for the people who shrink wrap stuff. I showed my ignorance to the sub-culture by saying, “no one buys CD’s anymore, so what do they shrink wrap?” Turns out everything is touched by the shrink wrap biz; Tombstone pizza’s, cigarettes, cap’s on medicine bottles, he mentioned CD’s again.

So I found something that I thought Big Eric would like.
I woke him up, it was 10:30 am.. After he took some time to get ready, I gave him my gift. He was gracious, but didn’t really care. I tried to make it fun by taking some pictures with my phone. Our limited, but good relationship carried us through the awkwardness. He said thank you and that he would “Pay it Forward”, which meant leave it at the house where he was staying.

Don’t know what to think about this one.
The picture says it all.

P.S. I gave a 25$ gift certificate to Crave.
