Giving Challenge.
Day 5
Volunteered to help at the Carnival for the local elementary school where my kids attend. It was good. Started at 3 ended at 9. Met some nice people. Worked hard.
Day 6
Gave my mother in law some of my brute strength. I helped move some things around for her, but I would have done that no matter what. What I really gave was several hours of playing video games with my son. I usually work a lot on Saturday, so this was good.
Day 7
Sunday, I took the kids out for Fro-Yo’s. This was special because I usually work a lot on Sunday as well.
Day 8
I had planned on buying lunch for a guy that I was meeting for the first time. Before I ever got to the meeting, someone from the past called me. I decided to give my time. A 40minute phone conversation that I didn’t have time for. I knew that this was going to throw off my whole day, but I gave it.
These gifts were not easy to give, because in every case I felt I “needed” to use the time in other ways. In retrospect these gifts were exactly what I needed to be doing.

P.S. I still bought the guy lunch.
