A couple of weeks ago Val and I went on a food tour in Seattle. Our guide said he was aiming for 3 things at every stop:

· You can taste the crazy story of the chef and owner

· The food is unique to Seattle

· You could convince a friend that this was the best version of that food on the planet

I think we hit the target at every stop… amazing.

Got me thinking about the meal that God guides his people into, the Lord’s Supper.

· You can taste the story of God’s ridiculous love for us

· The food is unique to the people of God

· It is easily the best version of spiritually nourishing food on the planet

Like every meal, the Lord’s Supper draws us together and reminds us who our friends and family really are. Eating a good meal together is what church is all about; it’s where our stories intersect with the preparation, flavors, and story of the cross. “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is he man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34

Looking forward to sharing the Lord’s Supper with you this Sunday.
