I figured out how to fix our toilet last week. It’s a bigger deal than you might think. For some time now that toilet was a source of fear, shame and guilt. I can explain how in person sometime later.
When things have been broken for a while, it is ridiculously exciting when they work properly.
A week later I am still thrilled every time the toilet flushes.
On Tuesday night a few of us were talking about a section of the Scriptures from Hebrews 7:22 “This makes Jesus the guarantee of a far better way between us and God—one that really works! A new covenant.”
Huh. Makes me wonder how excited God must be about us when Jesus starts fixing the broken parts of our lives.
It’s exciting when life begins to work properly.
