Doug passed a quote along to me the other day. I liked it so much, I wrote it down and put it next to my computer.

“You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.” James D. Miles

Of course, I think of Jesus and the scene where the powerful people (Pharisees) are trying to figure out if Jesus can do anything for them. The Pharisees think that if Jesus’ ministry is going to work, He must stop hanging out with the career killers…

11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matthew 9

Thank God for the character of Christ and the invitation into His network.

Enjoy the day,
Adam
