It was really nice being able to go home last week.
Driving the slanted streets, surrounded by water, eating Spud’s fish and chips.
Getting back to my roots.
Got me thinking about how strong roots dictate the strength and identity of a plant. We have been reading a lot about the roots of God’s people in Genesis and Exodus. Seems that in all the stories of God’s people there comes a point where they are called out, up rooted.
Moving roots is a delicate matter.
Takes a lot of faith to let God uproot you from one story and believe that He will replant you in a better one.
I realized on this trip that there came a point in my life where I put my roots in the story of God more than a place.
It’s nice to visit Seattle, but I like where I live now.
Love being the church with you all,
Adam
