While I was helping Lowery with his spelling words this morning, Grace brought hers. We were running late, so I promised to work with her tonight.
“Why?”
“Because I can’t help the two of you at the same time.”
She started to cry (bitter-nobody-loves-me-hears-me-and-cares-for-me-tears).
I reassured Grace of my love, and prayed with her for a good day.
“Dad, I wish you could multitask better ”
“Me too.”
She rides off to school, and I know what she is talking about.
I realized today, why I have been reading and re-reading Psalm 34:4 for the last several months.
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.”
There is a lot of comfort in the multitasking nature of our God. I love that God is ridiculously available to work with his children 24/7.
Today I am thanking God for being able to help you and me with our spelling words at the same time.
