Last year I saw this guy accompany my daughter’s choir with a guitar. The whole time I was thinking “I could do that, but I’m just to busy.” Really?
I’m to busy to fulfill a life long dream of playing music in front of a ton of people?
I’m to important to spend time with my oldest daughter doing something she loves?
Is it to demanding to serve the community with the gifts that God has given me?
Why wouldn’t I do this?
Oh yeah, it takes effort and I could be humiliated.
Fear of failing often paralyzes the faith needed to walk into life.
Long story short, last night I accompanied the Chain of Lakes Middle School girls show choir with Rainbow Connection. Kermit the frog style with the Banjo. Took time to learn, couldn’t hear myself, was really nervous.
In the end I am really glad I wasn’t to busy.
I like who I am becoming, not just the ridiculous guy who accompanies middle school choir with a banjo, but a person of faith.
