A small group of us were talking last night and the concept of happiness came up. We all agreed that in our experience of American culture, pursuit of happiness seems to be the underlying goal to everything. Yet, capturing and living somewhere between contentment and intense joy is elusive. Maybe because those feelings are always so dependent on circumstances? At any rate, finding happiness on our own is exhausting and incomplete.

I really liked where our discussion landed and wanted to share with everyone the bit of truth we dusted off.

Our happiness is found in knowing God, not stuff, luck, or other people.

Contentment and joy will always flow from knowing God’s love, power, and mercy for his people…for you.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress” Psalm 46:10

May we all know Him better this week,

Adam
